Londen, the city hosting the TechXLR8 conference

In 2016, Internet of Things World affirmed its market leading position as the world’s largest and most comprehensive IoT event series, delivering over 12,000 attendees over two flagship events in Silicon Valley and Europe. This year IoT World will sit at the heart of a new show which becomes the hub of London Tech Week, called TechXLR8.

In June 2017, you’ll find the most comprehensive gathering European leaders across verticals where IoT is changing the game. With a focus on monetisation, business models and propositions, this event provides a unique platform bringing together the entire ecosystem representing F500 enterprises, global tech giants, startups, investors, disruptive players and the public sector to fully promote the IoT message right in the heartland of enterprise and industry.

Internet of Things World Europe provides interactions across verticals, helping to create insights and new partnerships which will form the basis of the fully Connected Future.

Matthew (CEO), Alex (developer) and Els (Program Director of SettleMint Blockchain Academy) will attend TechXLR8, please visit them at our stand PK34. Just so you know, they brought Belgian chocolates for visitors who come to the booth!

What SettleMint hopes to contribute to the visitors of this conference

SettleMint’s middleware solutions bridge the gap between front end technology and blockchain technologies for enterprise applications. At the conference, we will display the versatility of SettleMint’s middleware, ‘Mint’, by demonstrating a selection of the applications that have already been built using Mint. By doing so, we want to provide visitors with more than slideware they get with most blockchain presentations today. This will allow them to interact directly with blockchain based applications to fully understand the potential of this technology. A picture says a thousand words, a slide deck says a few more but a live interactive demo says it all.

We believe that our application, DataBroker, will be of particular interest to the participants of TechXLR8 as this an exciting example of the possibilities that emerge at the cross-roads of 4th industrial revolution technologies like blockchain, IoT and big data. With this application, we hope to provide visitors to the conference with a source of inspiration to imagine new ways to monetise data, whether in the context of their own data or in the context of Smart Cities and private-public partnerships.

We believe the visitors will feel reassured in the knowledge that a typical proof of concept is generally completed in 3–6 weeks, not months using Mint so visitors should walk away feeling confident to experiment themselves with blockchain technologies using Mint.

About SettleMint

While working together on blockchain applications for a large financial institution, Matthew Van Niekerk and Roderik van der Veer quickly realised that the promise of the blockchain technology far exceeded the boundaries of the financial world and would permeate industry and society entirely in the years to come. Simultaneously, it was very apparent that there was and is a huge gap between the capabilities of organisations that want to innovate with blockchain and the technology itself.

SettleMint was founded in 2016 to bridge the gap, creating a suite of developer tools that enable any enterprise developer to build blockchain based applications. ‘Mint’ encapsulates considerable R&D on the technical, operational and organisational aspects of this technology and packages this in easy to use developer tools that abstract away complexity. These tools are packaged in the form of modular software development kits (SDK) that contain smart contract templates, API layers, micro services and browser components.

Based on our R&D examining 500+ known use cases and the fully functioning blockchain based applications that we have already developed for clients, we estimate that ‘Mint’ covers approximately 80% of the interactions with blockchain technologies that are required to power these applications.

Want to meet up, send us a message and we’ll make it happen! Or just pass by at stand PK34!
